I just come back from a brief holiday in Cornwall in England based around eating fresh fish and it was a glorious experience which your pictures kindly reminded me about
Hahaha . . . well, you know, being a Marylander and all, I love the crab pickin’ experience — but doing it in a street without the proper equipment (newspaper, melted butter, Old Bay) wouldn’t quite work for me. We had the fried calamari (first photo), and it was awesome.
Your pictures have me wanting to visit San Fran sooner than later. I have only ever been to the airport….I wish I would have spent a day or two there instead of just a quick layover. Fisherman’s Wharf looks incredible. I can’t wait to see more pictures of your trip!
Definitely recommend a visit, Christina! It’s a beautiful city with so much to see and do. Our hotel was in Fisherman’s Wharf, which made walking to many highlights very fun and easy. Thanks!
My hubby and I visited there almost 14 years ago. I was pregnant with my first child. We had clam chowder in a bread bowl which was delicious! Great pics, by the way.
I love that I know every single spot that you took a picture of! Isn’t the wharf so fun? You guys came at the perfect time, the weather was great. Can’t wait to hear more about your trip!
Gorgeous pictures as always! I love those Lobsters with just a tiny bit of Spencer in view. LOL! We are headed to San Francisco this fall for my little sister’s wedding and I’m hoping we’ll be able to spend at least a day in the city (she’s getting married in wine country). If so, this is definitely a place we’ll be taking the girls!

I love San Francisco something fierce! My husband always gets a crab, but I prefer the ones that have been picked out of the shell, thank you.

Oooh, I saw the clam chowder and other fine soups in bread bowls, Laura — it looked fantastic, though we’d just come from dinner. Next time, for sure!
