Despite the fact that it was frigid cold, we had fun walking around Old Town Alexandria, Va., and even caught part of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade (a wee bit early, yes!).

Love the terrace, the colours in the left ones are fun, it almost looks as though they belong elsewhere.

I haven’t been to Alexandria in so long. The parade looks like a fun time. I love the second picture of the skyline.

Oh, I’m so glad you visited my blog and I in turn found yours! I grew up in NOVA and your images brought back a ton of memories! My girlfriends and I loved to visit Old Town and my husband started his career there. Thanks for (unknowingly) bringing a little bit of home back to me today!

Every summer growing up, my family would drive from FL to MA and we ALWAYS stopped to stay in Alexandria. But you know what? I’ve never actually walked around it. The most we walked around was when the restaurant we were at caught fire (my mom blamed my burger and I’m still a bit traumatized!). Thanks for the pics!

I like the second picture best because the domed building on the right reminds me of how St Paul’s Cathedral in London looks from afar. Good post 🙂
