    • It was, Kathy — amazing. I loved reading the placards describing the history of the mission, when it was built . . . crazy to imagine people standing there so long ago! (And on the San Andreas Fault, no less!)

    • That’s awesome, Courtney — I would love to have been able to explore the mission as a kid! I remember going to another one on a family vacation in the ’90s, but this is the first time I was actually paying attention. 🙂

  1. I love Spanish architecture- especially the authentic kind. The blur of Spanish-style subdivisions I saw in south Florida a couple weeks ago just isn’t the same.
