Thanks, Juliet! Snow in Wales?! We had a very mild winter and an early spring, but I’m not complaining. And I adored my brief time in Wales this time last year — Cardiff was so cool!
It was summer here a few weeks ago, but it’s gone back to snow. My tulips are shivering! I’m up in the north amongst the mountains. Cardiff is a lovely city. Nice castle, too! Enjoy the sun 🙂
This is one of the places I wanted to visited but couldn’t make time for on our trip to DC in March. Now I really want to go. I love orchids–nice photos, especially of that sweet couple!
Highly recommend it, Jane — last weekend was the first time I’d crossed over to Bartholdi Park in the back side of the main greenhouse, where that fountain is. So pretty.
All your photos are gorgeous, but that second one is just stunning! You have a great photographic eye (I also enjoy your photos on Instagram, which are equally lovely!). I loved that second picture so much I had to pin it (found here: http://pinterest.com/pin/180988478745176623/). Thanks for sharing!
Really looking forward to a new camera this year…reading all these comments about filters and such makes me realize I have a lot to learn 🙂 I love the first pic!
I’ve said it before an ill say it again- I absolutely love your photography!! Do you use Lightroom? I just got it and have been learning it recently. I’m still waiting for your photography tips post 😉
Don’t worry — I promise I will come through with the photography tips! 🙂 I do occasionally use Lightroom, but have been doing most of my editing in Photoshop Elements as of late (version 5, actually — I’m way behind the curve).
Love, love, love the gardens! I could spend all day wandering around and taking photos. The filters are great, they really make the photos ‘pop’. Very nicely done.
Gorgeous! You used that filter again!

I finally figured out Photoshop Actions, Sandy, and I’m a wee bit obsessed. Expect to see much more of these, haha!

Those are so beautiful! We’ve got snow on the mountains again here in Wales. Those flowers are making me ache for spring to properly arrive!

Thanks, Meredith! Orchids are one of my favorite flowers, and the Botanic Garden has a huge display up through the end of the month.

Beautiful series. I really should play around with effects, but the only thing I ever do with my photos is crop.
