We spent Saturday afternoon and evening walking around Georgetown and Chevy Chase, admiring the twinkling holiday lights in the cloudy gloom at dusk — and celebrating my parents’ anniversary! Even though it was freezing and a little dark, we had a great time. And dinner was amazing — just check out that apple pie! It was covered in sugar!
