Touring Belmont Farm’s Distillery in Culpeper, Va., where moonshine is readily available (and legal!). We got a whiff of a current batch and had to hold onto our hats. That booze is no joke.

  1. My husband loves moonshine. Smells like rubbing alcohol to me. Still a very cool place to tour. Thanks for sharing your pics.

  2. Great shots! The Huz and I visited a distillery in Kentucky last year and it was so interesting to see the whole process.

  3. OK you just fed another fantasy. I want to own a place like that. And make sheep cheese.

  4. Gorgeous photos! I can’t even imagine how potent moonshine would be!

  5. I love those bright orange mugs!

    Can you buy them there?

  6. And here I thought moonshine was still bootleg stuff.

  7. Love the photos! There’s actually a store here that sells nothing but moonshine.

  8. Lovely photos! Moonshine has such a nice name but I don’t think it’s my kind of drink :)

  9. Did you taste it, too? My husband and I had some (illegal) moonshine a few years ago, and just a tiny sip was enough for me! Talk about STRONG!

  10. Your photography is beautiful! I’ve had a wiff of Moonshine too – I think some things are just too hard for me :P

  11. Gorgeous photos, and it sounds like an interesting place to tour.
