Thanks, Marko! Nope, no filters — but these are HDR, which really brought out the colors. I did edit them in Picnik afterward to achieve the effect in the second photo and upped the saturation in each, but they’re actually not too far from the originals.
Thank you! I’m devastated about Picnik — it’s one of my favorite editing tools, and is so easy to use (and free!). My first round of edits usually happens in Photoshop Elements, and then I typically play around with my shots in Picnik (as I did here, like adding the frames). I’ll have to find another fun tool now that it’s going away — will look into BeFunky!
I love historic sites, and I think your picture of it are gorgeous!

Love the contrast in the second pic and the water ripples. It’s beautiful. Happy WW!

Meg you took these? Wow. Amazing. I LOVE the vivid colors.
Thanks, Juju — I did! I’m all about vivid colors, too. We had a great day for it, thankfully.

Wow! Wonderful pictures!
Beautiful photos, and so atmospheric!
Stunning. I need to play around with some effects. I don’t do anything but crop.
Your photos are gorgeous, as usual.
Great colors! Do you use some kind of a filter or is there another trick?

they are all great, cut that second one is so cool.
Those photos are stunning! What editor do you use? I’ve been playing around with BeFunky! I loved picnik, but it’s closing in April!
