Happy New Year! from write meg!


As we welcome 2011, I’ll be in western New York with Spencer and his family — and cuddled up with Susane Colasanti’s So Much Closer and Nicole Krauss’s Great House, the latter being my first read for the Indie Lit Awards.

With temperatures in the 40s near Buffalo, I don’t imagine we’ll get to make the snowman I’d hoped to bring to life — but if I can get away without wearing my new snow boots, I’ll be a happy girl! I’m taking this long weekend to catch up on some reading and enjoy time with Spence’s family. Keep an eye out for my return next week.

I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe and fun New Year’s — and I’m looking forward to sharing books, thoughts and friendship with you all in 2011.

    happy new year to you too! hope you have a blast up there with spencer’s family. i’m surprised buffalo is only in the 40s. i thought it would be much colder up there, but who am i to complain about the weather? i’m still wearing shorts down here in texas.
