Loved, loved, loved this one too! It is so sad that the author died before it was published – so sad that she did not get to see the impact her book has had but also very sad for her readers.

Seriously, I have heard so many amazing things about this book, and I really am dying to read it. It’s definitely at the top of my list, unfortunately, there are so many other books before it. I’m horribly behind on reading as you can probably see from my extremely neglected blog.

I must say that I think this is the BEST review of this book I’ve read!! I loved it too and was heartbroken when I turned the last page.

i actually listened to this novel as an audio book and really enjoyed it. i always enjoy audiobooks more than reading–it must harken back to my childhood and love of being read to.

i’m so glad you liked this one–and i didn’t realize that shaffer passed away before the novel’s completion.

great review…now i’m off to see what debbie r. wrote in her review–her comment intrigued me!

It’s hard to believe we read the same book. I had a brief review of Guernsey in a “What Are You Reading Monday” post on my blog a couple of weeks ago.

I decimated it (just like the bombs did London).

Aren’t you glad we don’t all think alike? Life would be so boring. (Oh – and you are definitely in the majority on this one.)

I just finished reading it yesterday and absolutely loved it! Loved Juliet and the ending, too.
