I know I promised myself I wouldn’t join any more challenges before the end of the year, but I started fidgeting uncontrollably when I saw Shauna’s post about Fall Into Reading 2009! Like lots of folks, I absolutely love this season — and I can’t resist a good autumn challenge!
Still, I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself in the next three months — what with all the other challenges I’m trying to complete — so I’m keeping this one small. How’s it work? The challenge is already underway! Happening Sept. 22 through Dec. 20, we concoct a list of the books we want to read and then . . . read them. Easy peasy.
What will I be perusing this fall? For the challenge, I’ve selected:
• If I Stay by Gayle Foreman
• The Red Queen’s Daughter by Jacqueline Kolosov
• Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
• The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
All four are books I’ve been so looking forward to reading but . . . still haven’t opened. Guernsey, in particular, is a must-read — it was a Christmas gift I begged my sister for last year, and I’m embarrassed that I haven’t gotten around to it yet! And it’s even out in paperback now. Oy.

Good luck with the challenge!
Three of my favourite reads this year on your list and very quick and easy to read. I read If I Stay in two sessions. Life As We Knew is just fabulous and I have picked up the second book in this series for my challenge. Guernsey is just the best too. Good luck.
That button is beautiful and no I will not be tempted to join another challenge…I think.
Good luck and thanks for sharing!
Good luck with that challenge!
I just started reading Life as we knew it, too!
Happy reading to you! I loved Guernsey, hope you will too.
I just joined in the reading fun earlier today.
Wow, what a great blog you have. And thanks for visiting my place
I am tempted to join this challenge, but I just decided to skip all other challenges, exept one, I had signed up for this year, since I wasn’t doing well on any of them, and I simply just deleted them from my blog….but I AM tempted.
Looking forward to hear what you think about the Life as we knew it book.
I also have the Guernsey-book on my TBR…
Now I’m tempted too! Nice list you made yourself.
Good luck with the challenge!
Happy reading!
Oh, I hate when I’ve acquired a book in hardcover but it comes out in paperback before I manage to read it! Then feels like a waste of money. Never mind though, it’s a wonderful book. Good luck with your challenge!
I think I may try to do this challenge too!! Am I crazy?!?! YEP!!
BTW, I have an award for you here: http://tiftalksbooks.blogspot.com/2009/09/awards-make-me-smile.html
Enjoy and happy reading!!
I’d apologize, but I’m not actually sorry. *grins* Good for you for only picking four books, though. I tried to keep my list small, and had trouble stopping at ten.
Good Luck with the challenge! I loved If I Stay and the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society!
Ohh, maybe I’ll do this one! I’ve been looking for a good challenge to do..any suggestions?
